aaawwww, that picture reminds me of myself when i was a little girl.

Alyson's story is really sad. I'd like to know WHY about alot of things like why it's so hard for people to be honest.

Hi Jas,

I'm so glad you're apart of the team. You've come far so fast! I LOVE the insight you've been adding to the site, esp. the point about asymmetry "artistic" expression. Prefect topic for another post! I love you boho chicas :)

@ Kaya,

Thanks for posting this video here. Makes my point more plausible and less like boho rhetoric.

Because of the lack of these "real answers", that Alyson's family, education and religion haven't given her, she uses drugs attempting to stay in an adolescence mind state, while people around her and the rest of society literally push her off the edge of a mental cliff with their action that say, “forget the answers, just grow up like the rest of us, accepting confusion, dissatisfaction and lies. That’s Life so deal with it”.

What many certified experts fail to realize is that drugs are the coping mechanism used by most "innocent minds or spirits", told to deal with an illogical perception of Life forced upon them. It’s why Alyson yells at her mom, “what should I be doing with my life”, and her mom can’t tell her anything that helps, so everyone in their circle hurts.

Jas, the lack of real answers give birth to rebellion and powerful movements (Boho) toward change – seen for decades in music with substance. People looking for answers can't and will not be productive until someone explains "WHY".

Alyson's story is truly heartbreaking!!

Jas,

Yesterday I watched a new show on A&E called Intervention. The episode was the one about a girl name Alyson. This post and you're point about the answers little girls and boys need about themselves made me think of Alyson. There's a scene where she says she's 27, but feels like she's still 14, broke my heart. She feels she's stuck at 14 mentally, waiting for real answers before moving forward with the rest of her life.

Mali,

Love the image you're using here. Not only do I love the diversity, but I think the youth should hear and learn to think for themselves from a person who uplifts all equally. Kinda sad that this isn't done in schools with information that imparts an accurate self-image of us (man and woman). Some music use to pick-up the slack, but I find that most musicians today, even the ones that believe themselves to be deep, are as confused about "Self" as the people they want to follow (twitt) them as "fans".

In fact, being lost in uncertainty has become what many "artists" feel is the true expression and defining characteristic of creativity. They see beauty in extreme asymmetry, which is a subconscious way of endorsing imbalance, injustice, unevenness, inharmory, etc.. I think this is why so many of them like coming from a dark place – using dark imagery while presenting and marketing themselves. "I don't got the answers, so who gives a fuck", shouldn't be what little girls or boys hear from artists, who are meant to have more connection to those answers, through their creative connection.

@ Mali, thanks for those long discussions, best therapy ever :)
