One of my favorite things about True Blood (besides the incredible casting) is how they incorporate supernatural elements into the show like they are every day happenings. But, I’m not as curious about the Vampires and“Maenad” as I am about Sookie (Anna Paquin). Maryann who is also intrigued asked Sookie, “What are you?”.

This Sunday is the season finale, which means the realization of Sookie’s subconscious identity will most likely take place all next season. One thing is for-sure, Sookie has an unrealized potential from a natural connection. It’s uncertain if the writers can, or even want to awaken her into a “christ like” avatar, or if this aspect will only be used as a teaser.

Many movies and tv shows have successfully mastered the Anti-God character, but few (besides Matrix) have been able to use the awakening of good being into their stories. Look what happened to NBC’s “Hereos” when they attempted to do it. For now, Sookie remains the only one with a super-natural connection to her soul. Guess I’ll have to keep watching to see what this means for her, for Bill and for darkness.

This goes out to Rutina Wesley (Tara)… you are an INCREDIBLE actress who I hope to see more of in movies!!!!!!!!!! Alan Ball choose her because she was “the first person to show {Tara’s} vulnerable side”. If you watch the True Blood series you will be moved at the strength, feistiness, sincerity, and honest vulnerability that Rutina Wesley flawlessly brings to life in Tara.
